Hi everyone,
One of the most common things I hear from operators is: "We get great feedback in person or privately that we wish would make it to Google." Meanwhile, one bad public review from someone who had an off night can sit at the top of your landing page for weeks, impacting your SEO and your reputation.
Loyalist can help you take control of that dynamic in three powerful and effective ways:
1. The Feedback Landing Page ($50 monthly add-on): This is the closest thing to"set it and forget it" for review strategy.
Loyalist can host a fully branded feedback page for your restaurant. After a guest completes their dining experience, they receive an email or SMS linking them to a short, customizable survey. Here is what happens next:
If the guest selects 5-stars on the survey, they are redirected to leave a review on Google; no extra steps or friction between turning good nights into five-star reviews.
If the guest selects 4-stars or less on the survey, they are instead provided a space to share their feedback privately. That feedback routes directly into your Loyalist Review Suite, where your team can see it, respond, and resolve it internally. The guest gets a place to be heard. You get a chance to recover the relationship before it becomes a public review.
2. Tag-Triggered Review Outreach (Available on All Plans): If your floor team is already great at reading the room, this one is for you.
This approach requires a bit more involvement from your on-site team than the landing page, and whichever inbox you send from should be monitored for responses. But for teams that already have strong floor communication, it is a natural extension of the hospitality you are already delivering.
Here is how it works: when a guest has an exceptional experience and your team knows it, they add a visit tag to that reservation (for example, "Great Experience"). The next day, Loyalist automatically sends that guest a personal email or SMS from someone of your choice, asking if they would be open to leaving a review on Google and a direct link to do so.
The same logic works in reverse - if a guest had a rocky experience that could not be fully recovered on-site, your team adds a visit tag (for example, "Needs Follow Up"). Loyalist sends a message the next day from your team asking for their honest feedback.
3. 5-Star Review Conversion (Available on All Plans): Already getting great reviews via private channels? Convert them to public reviews automatically.
Set up automatic outreach to guests who post 5-star reviews via your Reservation Platforms asking if they would be open to sharing that same feedback on Google. These guests have already told you they had an incredible time, so the conversion rates are strong. Loyalist handles the entire flo, so there is no tagging or floor team involvement required.
Our data shows that restaurants who use these strategies see ~15% conversion into actual 5-star Google reviews!
If any of these sound like something your team would benefit from, reply here and we will get you set up.
Cheers,
